| Traveling wave location method,simple and accurate,has been widely used in distribution network fault location.Simulation is one of the most important means in researching of travelling wave application.The present simulation methods,low versatility and poor replicability,for any minor changes of general models or network parameters,rebuilding the models are needed,which will increase the cost of money and time great.So,a travelling wave simulation platform,which can be used in a wide range,is in urgent need,to solve the real problem of distributed network fault location in the same principle and similar network structure.Based on the above,a new thinking of overhead line distribution network fault travelling wave location simulation research based on PSCAD/EMTDA is proposed in this paper.The generating mechanism of distributed network fault travelling wave is first introduced,the mode analysis basic theory of 3-phase line is sketched,the propagation characteristic of fault travelling wave in the line branch point,substation bus and line branch ends are analyzed emphatically,finally,the basic principle of travelling wave fault location for distribution network is introduced.The design scheme of overhead line distribution network fault traveling wave simulation platform is proposed.The scheme has been implemented by using custom function module encapsulation technology and graphical interface design provided by PSCAD/EMTDC,the simulation platform of distribution network fault location based on PSCAD/EMTDC is established.The simulation platform proposed in the paper,could collect fault travelling wave of individual monitoring-station and centralized processing.At the same time,it can be used on different position and different types and different distribution network fault model simulation.The establishment of the simulation platform,simplifies the process of simulation modeling,and reduces the unnecessary duplication of effort,so the researchers can put more energy into the principle and algorithm of research. |
