Wind energy as one of the most promising clean sources in the world has received a great deal of attention in recent years,Wind turbine which plays an important role in converting wind energy into electric energy,it is required to have high efficiency and reliability.Advanced fault diagnosis technology is urgently needed to reduce relatively high cost of maintenance. In recent years, fault estimation which not only detects the fault, but also provides an estimation of the fault, has been attached extensive attention. In this dissertation, fault estimation approaches based on observer are discussed, generalized observer is designed for the fault estimation of wind turbine and the main content of this dissertation is outlined as follows. The fault estimation approaches for a class of nonlinear systems with actuator faults, sensor faults and unknown disturbance are considered.Summarize methods to dealing with faults and unknown disturbance respectively.Based on it,adaptive algorithm is used to estimate disturbance and unknown observer decouples disturbance for different situations.Sensor faults as a new state vector is estimated by using generalized observer.Observer is designed in terms of actuator bounded fault and unbounded fault: sliding mode observer which is introduced to estimation of disturbance is designed, under the application of equivalent output injection concept, the bounded actuator fault reconstruction is achieved; The estimation method of the unbounded is inspired by the method of estimating sensor fault and achieved estimation by applying generalized observer.Robust fault estimation approaches are applied to the considered windturbine nonlinear benchmark model, the effectiveness of the observer is simulated on the MATLAB/simulink platform, simulation results show that the effectiveness of the proposed observers for robust fault estimation.
