Gelled sand and gravel dam as a new dam,which combines the advantages of panel rockfill dam and concrete dam,using a new type of dam material-gelled sand and gravel material.The gelled sand and gravel material is obtained by mixing the gelling material with river bed gravel or excavated waste by simple equipment and process.This dam construction is simple,fast,low cost,the negative impact on the environment is small,with high safety,high seismic resistance and the advantages of low ground conditions,is a worthy of the promotion of the dam.However,so far,the domestic research on this type of dam is relatively small,there is no technical theory to form the system,do not understand the CSG dam body under different stress conditions of stress and deformation distribution,and its ultimate bearing conditions under the dam Structural failure mode and damage mechanism,the dam's true safety and structural reliability are not precisely regulated,which seriously restricts the further development of cemented gravel dams.In this paper,based on the collection of hydraulic model test method,combined with the Ministry of Water Resources Public Welfare special scientific research project "gelled sand and gravel material mechanical properties,durability and dam research" task book requirements,for gelled sand gravel dam in The stratified pouring stage,the normal operation stage and the overload stage are simulated and the nonlinear finite element calculation is used to analyze the stress and deformation distribution,and the material control method and control standard of the dam are obtained.The main research contents are as follows:1.Introduce the development of CSG dam and hydraulic model test,and explain the similarity principle of the model and the similar relationship in the use of cemented gravel dam;2.The model is used to simulate the stress and deformation state of the dam under different stress conditions(weight,weight and water load,dead weight and super water load).So as to judge the force of each part of the dam,give the material strength control method andcontrol standard,which provides important test reference for the design and construction of gelled sand and gravel dam.3.Using the ANSYS calculation software to establish the two-dimensional model,according to the model test parameters and the relevant conditions for calculation and analysis,the dam body stress and deformation distribution,and the hydraulic model test results of the comparative analysis to test whether the design of the experiment reasonable.4.Through the model test and finite element analysis,the stress and strain distribution of gelled sand and gravel dams are preliminarily summarized,and the reinforcement suggestions are put forward.
