With the rapid development of computer and signal processing technology, research and implementation of multistatic sonar system has become a hot direction. Multistatic sonar system has both active and passive sonar advantages, compared with the single bistatic sonar,it has flexible configuration and good concealment. The application of data fusion technology can not only improve the detection range of the system, but also improve the positioning precision, it is applicable to complex environment. In this paper, we focus on the time domain beamformer technology, detection range analysis and the positioning accuracy of three method. linear array is all used by the receiving stationsFirstly, the receiving station uses linear array to receive singals. In order to obtain the target echo singal without distortion and improve the target parameter estimation precision, the conventional beamformer and const beam width beamformer are studied in this paper.Time domain conventional beamformer is focused on the realization of fractional delay filter, and two kinds of realization methods in time domain and frequency domain are given.Numerical simulation analysis of two methods is studied including achieving error and performance comparision. Aiming at the problem of the beam output singal distortion of the incident singal, two constant beam width beamformer are selected and analyzed. Numerical simulation is given to design the error and performance analysis, which can ensure the beam output singal is not distorted.Secondly, the detection range analisis of multistatic sonar system is mainly used the energy confinement method and the positioning error method, which exists the disadvantages of ignoring the loss of sound absorption and information fusion. The fusion detection problem of multistatic singal receiving stations with constant false alarm detector is under the condition that the false alarm probability is constant. Based on the two kinds of distributed fusion detection algorithm, the detection range is analyzed, and the coverage area of the detection probability 0.9 is used to measure the detection performance. The performance of the constant false alarm detector and the difference between two kinds of fusion algorithms are simulated and analyzed. Finally, the accuracy analysis of three positioning methods is studied. The mathematical expression and numerical simulation results are given, and the characteristics of the moving trajectory of line and circle are selected. Based on the experimental data of bistatic sonar, the results verify the validity of the reliability and location method of the bistatic system.
