Vibration and noise is the strict control indicators of green vessels. The vibration of facilities is the mainly noise source. The waste water pump belongs to classical reciprocating mechanism which is born more vibration and noise generated. In this paper, waste water pump is researched, some improved methods are presented, the laboratory experiments prove that the methods is effective. The main content of this paper include:Firstly, dynamic analysis on crank-connecting is done,piston movement locus is calculation. the force on piston, piston pin and main journal is obtained in one-cylinder. Then,the comprehensive tangential force and disturbing moment are derived under three-cylinder situation.Secondly, torsional vibration free vibration and forced vibration is calculated, shafting torsional vibration modal is established Natural frequency and eigenvector were obtained. The stress between shafting units is calculated by spectrum method. The result shows the shafting won't be damaged.Then, The FE model is established and updated according to the model test by comparing natural frequency and modal shape.The vibration source which would result in vibration is analyzed, the internal vibration source is identified through the load identification theory based on least square method. The root vibration response of the FE modal is reduced by changing the vertical stiffnessIn the test, By adding buffering device, changing the discharge pipe into flexible pipe and removing short-circuit phenomenon, the vibration level is effectively decreased by 11.2dB.
