| The rotor system plays a very important role in the whole industrial production. Due to various reasons, the rotors have different degrees of deflections in the processing and transportation, even they can affect the operation of the entire mechanical equipment .So the bow rotors have aroused more and more attentions. This paper focused on the bow rotor dynamic characteristics and how to balance the bow rotors . Specific studies were outlined as follows:Firstly, vibration characteristics of the straight rotor were analyzed. Natural frequencies can be calculated by creating a finite element model of the straight rotor with the influence of the shear effect and without the influence of the shear effect.Secondly, vibration characteristics of the bow rotor were analyzed. The in-plane and out-plane finite element models with the influence of shear effect and without the influence of shear effect were established and the correctness of the models were verified. By calculating the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the two beam elements in three support cases, the differences of the two beams were analyzed and the applicability of the two beam elements in thin and thick rotors calculation were obtained . The rules of two beam elements natural frequencies with the varying radius of curvature were analyzed.Thirdly, vibration characteristics of the bow rotor model and the unbalanced rotor model were compared.The rules of rotor vibration under two excitation forces were analyzed, and the balancing method of a bow rotor can be obtained.Finally , the bow rotor was balanced through the experiment with the balancing method ,the method was based on the forth chapter. |
