Electromagnetic wave, owing to its obvious decrease in water, is seriously restricted in the underwater acoustic field. Therefore, acoustic wave is irreplaceable when detection, observation and communication is done in the water. Navigation and positioning system is essential to a ship when it is sailing in the ocean. Acoustic Doppler Velocity Log is widely used, which is invented in 1970s and has developed rapidly, because of its accurate, sensitive and stable performance. The paper is mainly to complete the design and implementation of hardware part of the wideband doppler velocity log. On the basis of the Principle of Doppler, the paper completed the wideband Doppler Velocity Log system receiver and transmitter design and realization,Also completed the debugging of the digital signals processing part of the system. The transmitter hardware design and inplementation includes the logic circuits, the drive circuit, the power amplifier circuit, the electronic transformers and so on. In order to improve the efficiency of the transmitter, transducer matching circuits is designed to. match the transmitter and its circuits. The receiver hardware design and implementation includes the fixed-gain amplifier circuits, the variable-gain amplifier circuits, the bandpass filter circuits and the power supply circuits. In order to meet the requirements of variable-gain amplifying, high quality factor performance of the receiver and the channel consistency, the form of a filter circuit, the gain requirements and circuit components of the rational distribution and other factors in the circuit design has been fully considered. In final, on the basis of completed the digital processing, the paper has achieved the joint commissioning of analog and digital.
