Compared to the traditional signal processing method, Array signal processing has the advantages of flexible beam control, high spatial resolution, high signal gain, strong anti-interference ability and so on, among which, the spatial spectrum estimation is the contemporary advanced and mature DOA estimation algorithm, that takes MUSIC as the representative of the subspace algorithm, largely promoted the development of underwater acoustic direction-finding technology, greatly improved the resolution of the acoustic direction finding and location. However, the need of using the statistical characteristics of the signal to make the estimation of DOA, result in high demand of the snapshot data, which brings enormous pressure to the data acquisition, storage and transmission, especially in the deep sea, more high require- ments on equipment increased the difficulty of technology realization. Secondly, with the development of underwater acoustic technology, information that underwater acoustic signals carry is more and more large, signal forms become more and more diversified, acoustic environment is more and more complex, the density distribution of the signal in the spatial and frequency domainsignal processing is increasing, the bandwidth required continue to increase, so that the sampling rate based on Nyquist sampling theorem is becoming higher and higher,the transmission capacity of ardware storage unit of storage space, the corresponding data in the sound field and the signal processing algorithm for the speed of operationand and other aspects put forward higher requirements.In this paper , the compressive sensing theory is introduced into the array signal DOA estimation, which use accurate sampling and reconstruction of sparse signals with a new sampling method, breaks through the limitation of Nyquist sampling theorem, effectively solves inherent lack of the classical spatial spectrum estimation algorithm , and opens up a new path for underwater acoustic signal by DOA estimate, which will be a broad application future and important practical significance for underwater acoustic signal processing field.The paper mainly designs an improved DOA parameter estimation algorithm based on compressed sensing theory under the array signals modeling of space signal sources, which contains the signal sparse representation, the amount of matrix concept design and signal reconstruction algorithm, to realize the high resolution estimation of the signal DOA.The paper first introduces the basic principles and the classical algorithms of array signal direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. Then the paper introduces the basic theory of compressive sensing, and has conducted the thorough research to the sparse signal representation, the observation matrix and sparse signal reconstruction algorithm. Finally the paper expounds the theory of compressive sensing algorithm based on DOA estimation, and are compared and analyzed with the classical DO A estimation algorithms. Then we obtains that compared with the traditional DOA estimation algorithm the compressive sensing based on DOA estimation algorithm can achieve high resolution DOA estimation with less amount of sampling data.
