Perylene diimide(PDI)is a kind of excellent electron acceptor material,which has been widely used in organic optoelectronics.Perylene mono imide(PMI)has similar photochemical and electrochemical properties to PDI,where PMI is paid only limited attention.The main reason lies in poor solubility and difficult modification,so it is imperative to develop a highly efficient method for the synthesis of PMI.In this study,a highly efficient method for the synthesis of PMI was developed from the commercial starting materials 6-undecanone and perylenetetracarboxylic acid,and the key intermediate brominated PMI(PMI-Br)was synthesized.PMI-Br has a shorter side chain,which facilitates the transport of carriers,and has good solubility and active sites Br atoms,which can be easily used for the construction of organic semiconductors.The specific synthetic route of PMI-Br was as follows: the synthesis of oxime,reduction of amine,condensation reaction,hydrolysis,decarboxylation,alkylation and bromination.The yield of each step is more than 90%,the total yield is up to 61%,achieved the ten grams of the preparation.With the introduction of different donor units,eight electron acceptor materials with acceptor-donor-acceptor(A-D-A)structure were synthesized.Then studied the electrochemical properties,film-forming properties and solar cells properties.It was found that these acceptor materials had a strong absorption in the range of 400-600 nm and the ?max was higher than 68500 M-1 cm-1.The LUMO level was between-3.67 and-3.76 eV,and the low LUMO level indicated that they had a stro ng accepting electron ability.The root mean square(RMS)roughness between 0.785 ~ 1.28 nm,showing a good film-forming.Respectively,with PCE10 as the donor material made of bulk heterojunction solar cells,and the highest PCE is 1.3%.
