This paper aims to optimize the design of reactive power compensation device,improve the effect of reactive power compensation,optimize the distribution of reactive power of power grid,realize the reactive power balance on the spot,the thermal power grid to reduce reactive power generated by exchange,to reduce loss,improve voltage quality level.Through the development of reactive power compensation device is described,compared the advantages and disadvantages of different modes of reactive power compensation,according to the principle of electronics,capacitor reactive power and voltage is proportional to the square,to adjust its output capacity of regulating the terminal voltage of the capacitor of the way,in order to achieve the smooth adjustment of reactive power compensation,compensation to meet the actual demand at the same time,also can avoid the oscillation switching and switching capacitor when the inrush current.Comparative analysis of different reactive power control strategy,and ultimately determine the nine zone diagram based on reactive power control strategy based on voltage regulation,increase the time limit on the premise that the voltage and the power factor satisfies the requirements,to avoid the oscillation switching,the realization of economic,the optimal compensation effect.The device has been qualified by the relevant test,and has achieved good results in the pilot operation of the Liandu Lishui power system.
