Due to the development of electric power system,electric surplus becomes a problem.Power generating companies,especially thermal power plants,have a hard time to manage their business.Because the price of electricity decreases,it is difficult to make a lot of profits these years from generating electricity.Electricity is a special merchandise,and there is literally no difference on quality.As a result,the competition among thermal power plants will be the price competition.In other word,companies that can produce electric power with lower cost win the market.In order to become more competitive in the market and increase economic benefits,many companies generate electric power by using coal blending scheme.Coal blending scheme is a complicated electric generating technic.Different blending ratio and types of coal affect coal’s burning property differently.The low-grade coals can be mixed with high grade coal while retaining thermal performance of the boiler.Applying blending techniques go a long way in reducing the cost of power generation.This article through to the coal market in China and the basic situation of thermal power generation,and the research progress of coal blending gathering analysis at home and abroad.According to current situation of Jingneng Ningdong supercritical boiler,and the trial of coal blending plan now,considering its unit operation safety from several aspects,comprehensively analyze the change of the economic costs and emissions,safety,economic,and environmental protection operation of power plant units to provide certain theoretical basis..
