In recent years,China’s urbanization process continues to accelerate.Followed by a huge energy consumption,the urban environment,especially the outdoor thermal environment has caused some side effects.Nowadays people’s requirements of living environment are no longer just shelter,but the pursuit of better living comfort.Therefore,it’s a considerable research topic that rational planning of the city,improving the urban thermal environment and establish a harmonious mechanism between human and the environment based on meeting the demand of urban residents for human settlements.So that promote the sustainable development of the city.Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is a low latitude plateau region in China,which is affected by the monsoon and ocean currents.Its climate has obvious specialty.Low latitude problems,large terrain problems and tropical ocean problems-the world’s three leading meteorological issues are shown in this low latitude plateau at the same time.At present,the most frequently used methods in the case of studying the urban thermal environment in Kunming is that the fixed point measurement and the remote sensing measurement.However,the spatial and temporal resolution is not so large when the two methods were used to obtain the distribution characteristic of urban thermal environment.In order to enrich the research methods and contents of low latitude plateau urban thermal environment.The paper is based on the low latitude plateau city-Chcnggong University Town,Kunming City.Two methods of fixed point measurement and mobile measurement were used to analyze the urban thermal environment,especially urban heat island effect,from different spatial and temporal resolutions.Aiming at the deficiency of traditional urban and rural dichotomy in urban heat island effect.Using the temperature difference between the local climate zones as the basis for calculating the heat island intensity according to the data of mobile measurement.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Study on the point-mode characteristics of regional thermal environment by fixed point measurement.The meteorological data from two meteorological stations in Kunming and Chenggong were collected nearly a year.Feature of urban heat island effect in Kunming was compared and analyzed from different aspects of season,month and daytime.(2)Study on the belt-mode characteristics of regional thermal environment by mobile measurement.The belt-mode feature of urban heat island in Chenggong were represented using mobile measurement data,which 34 times experiment were carried out in Winter,Spring and Autumn respectively.Linear regression and quadratic polynomial regression were used to revise the data of mobile measurement,and the optimal results were analyzed by comparison.(3)Study on the calculation of urban heat island intensity based on the temperature difference between local climate zones.According to the characteristic of local climate zones,different surface landscapes of measurement line based on the data of mobile measurement were divided into different local climate zone.Analyzing the characteristics of seasonal temperature variation,the heat island intensity was calculated by the mean air temperature difference between different climatic zones.(4)Analyzing the suggestions and countermeasures of regional thermal environment improvement.Based on the research,some suggestions and countermeasures were proposed to improve the thermal environment of the area in the paper.Providing reference for urban thermal environment planning of low latitude plateau city.
