Embedment depth is one of the key factors to determine the stability and bearing capacity of laterally loaded piles. Therefore,it is very important to determine the reasonable embedded depth when designing the horizontal loaded piles. In this paper, the model of single pile horizontal static loading, indoor model test and numerical simulation is adopted as the prototype of a rock socketed pile foundation of a transmission tower in southwest china.By changing the angle of rock level, the factors of embedded rock socketed depth, pile diameter, pile strength, analysis of rock socketed pile displacement and bending moment of pile, pile lateral soil pressure, soil pile deformation regularity,Study on bearing capacity, embedding effect and maximum embedding depth of layered rock mass subjected to various factors.Guiding the design of rock-socketed piles and determination of maximum embedded depth.(1)When the rock mass of the embedded segment has a level, the bearing capacity of the pile is obviously decreased. And with the change of dip angle, the change of bearing capacity of pile foundation also has some regularity.(2)When the level inclination of the rock mass of the embedded segment is different, its embedding effect will change,by good to bad, complete bedrock Site, level dip angle 0°Field,level dip angle 90° Field, level dip angle 30° Field, level dip angle-30° Field, level dip angle-60° Field, level dip angle 60° Field.(3)The embedding effect of rock-socketed piles can be improved by increasing the embedded depth and the diameter of pile body and increasing the strength of pile body has no obvious effect on the improvement of the embedding effect of pile Foundation.(4)By comparing the characteristic values of horizontal bearing capacity of rock-socketed piles with different embedded depths, the maximum rock depth of 0°,30°,30°,60°,-60° and 90° of the complete bedrock and the bedrock level is determined to guide the design of rock-socketed piles.
