As the key link in the power system,the substation is assumed to be a task of electric power conversion and distribution,which plays an important role in the security and stability of power grid.Substation communication network is the transmission link in the substation intelligent electronic equipment and systems,the core of the substation automation system,real-time and reliability of communication network determines the availability of the system.The international standard of IEC61850 as the international standard of substation automation system based on the universal network platform only,its main purpose is to unify the interoperability of intelligent electronic devices of all different manufacturers in the substation,substation can realize seamless communication,represents the development direction of the Department of automation.This paper firstly introduces the structure characteristic and communication network in Smart Substation,analyzes the requirements for service performance of communication network in IEC61850 standard,according to the performance requirements of substation communication network and structural features of IEC61850 standard system,the network communication network structure and topology structure,analyzes the factors of delay and the influence of message transmission in substation,and some can improve the real-time performance of substation communication network technology are analyzed,which through the analysis of data flow in substation,the specified in the IEC61850 standard message types and message properties are summarized,according to the different types of fault event communication network system in operation combined with the reliability evaluation index and model,the main fault,by using fault tree analysis To construct fault tree network communication system evaluation model system analysis method and computer aided fault tree,and the calculation method of reliability,availability,failure rate and important parameters,through the simulation analysis and calculation of reliability,and failure analysis of communication network fault tree.
