Wind-assisted technology has the great significance for the global energy conservation and emission reduction.The main purpose of this thesis is to calculate and analyze the stability of the wind-assisted ship.The stability's differences of ship before and after adding the sails are compared;the variety of stability of the wind-assisted ship in different ship-wave position is analyzed;random wind is simulated when sailing in order to calculate the safety and reliability of the ship before and after adding the sails.The thesis provides a theoretical basis for the design and construction of the wind-assisted ship.Firstly,according to the data of the target 46000t oil tanker ship,such as the offset and hull lines,the ship 3D modeling is established in Maxsurf software and the height of center of gravity is calculated under the known draft and drainage with the estimation method of Maxsurf software.Then the flat stability of ship is calculated and compared by putting the model into the Hydromax module,and according to China's"Technical Regulation for Statutory Survey of Seagoing Ships",the flat stability of target ship is verified to prove the accuracy of stability computation method.Secondly,the relative positions between the ship and wave are divided into four kinds of situations when sailing,and the influence of different wave length-ship length ratio to stability of the ship in these four different situations are discussed respectively.The results show that when the trough is located in the middle,the ship's stability is improved compared with static stability,and when the peak is located in the middle,the ship's stability is decreased compared with static stability,and when the wavelength is approximately equal to the ship's length,the ship's stability will have a larger decline.Combined with laboratory project,the random wind and wave is simulated with random number method by MATLAB software.According to the beaufort wind scale,the wind speed and reference height of wave are chosen at the 4-8 wind level.The safety and stability is calculated and analyzed under sailing at the different levels of wind.According to the most dangerous situation when ship sailing at 8 level,the ship with wind-sail has lower safety,the calculation of the reliability of the results is still 4.77%of the ship capsizing probability.Although the application of wing-assisted technology can improve the demand of energy saving,it reduced the safety of navigation of the ship.The ship's stability research is of great theoretical and practical significance,and provide the certain reference opinion for the design and operation of the ship.
