In order to improve the reliability and economy,modern submachine gun mainly uses the automatic mode of free bolt.In order to alleviate the gun mass and decrease the influence on weapon firing accuracy by bolt impact,the bolt's mass cannot too big that results in the weapon's theoretically firing rate is higher in general.The higher theoretical firing rate increase the consumption of ammunition and the impact between the high speed bolt and the gun affects the weapon's firing accuracy.Therefore without any increase in the mass of the bolt at the same time reduce the freedom of the free bolt submachine gun's theoretical firing rate is a key problem in the design of submachine gun.Aiming at the problem of free bolt submachine gun's high theoretical firing rate,through the analysis of technological strategy to firing rate suppression,determine the firing rate suppression overall scheme based on principle of energy conversion which translate a part of backlash kinetic energy to the bolt's rotation energy to achieve the purpose of decreasing the bolt's kinematic velocity and firing rate.In order to confirm the bolt rotation driving curve,use the classical kinetic theory build the dynamic model of gun,utilize the UG software set up the 3D model of the submachine gun,apply the MATLAB and ADAMS software calculate and simulate the firing process of different helix curves and get the bolt's velocity,displacement characteristic curves in different helix curve figure.By contrastively analyzing the curves of theoretical calculation and virtual prototype simulation under different structural parameters of spiral grooves,select the parabola as the reasonable structure from the motion smooth and steady,little impact and the homogeneous abrasion of cam slot aspects.By comparing the theoretical calculation results with the virtual prototype simulation results of different foci parabola,confirm the parabola foci is 81/pi.Take this parabola as the profile curve,the submachine gun's firing rate decreases to 560 rounds per minute from 1197 rounds per minute.There is a steady motion,little impact and small fluctuation of rotation angle acceleration,the cam slot and the bolt boss have a homogeneous abrasion.Through the simulation results and contrastive analysis,prove the overall scheme based on energy translation can convert a part of backlash energy to its rotation energy.Via choosing the profile curve of cam slot reasonably,the kinematic velocity of bolt decrease effectively and reach the goal of firing rate suppression.It proves that the scheme is feasible on principle and the profile curve structure parameter is reasonable.This has certain theoretical guiding significance for the development of the new lower firing rate submachine gun.
