Playing an essential role in energy delivery,transmission power tower in high voltage standard line connect every single person no matter in urban or rural area.Dense population and industry in Guangdong province's coastal areas lead this kind of transmission power tower to distribute widely and intensively.As a result,each damage or collapse of transmission power tower will cause numerous economic loses.In order to study the vibration of transmission power tower induced by strong wind,this paper take three typical tower-ZGU302,ZM1 and ZM4-as example.Finite element analysis is used to study dynamic characteristics and response of wind induced vibration of transmission power tower.Some referential conclusions are obtained.Under the referential conclusions,a vibration control device is devised.The main research work of this paper are as follow:1.Based on WAWS method,multi-nodal wind speed time history is simulated successfully,considering the Davenport pulsating wind spectrum and Davenport coherency function.The power spectrum of the wind speed time history is tallied with the target power spectrum.So the wind speed time history is reasonable and reliable.2.The finite element models of target transmission power tower are established by FEA software ANSYS.The dynamic characteristics is got,and it match the actual measured value well.So the models are prove to be reliable.The lower part of the transmission power tower should be concerned more,through modal analysis.3.Choosing cantilever eddy current TMD as the study target in this paper through analysis of advantages and disadvantages of different kind of dampers.A eddy current TMD is devised especially used in wind induced vibration control area of transmission power tower.Further more the natural frequency and damper ratio of the eddy current TMD are tested for further use.4.The response of wind induced vibration of transmission power tower is studied in both situation that without TMD damper or with TMD damper.Analysis on weak part of transmission power tower and study of buckling unveiled the cause of collapse of transmission power tower.The study proves that TMD is effective in controlling the response of displacement,velocity and acceleration of transmission power tower.The higher the TMD installed,the better the control effect is.The response of tower line system is larger than single tower.The impact of transmission line can't be ignored.
