The guide vane has the greatest influence on the performance of oblique flow pump in addition to the impeller,some data shows that the hydraulic loss within 40%-50%of pump comes from the guide vane,therefore the hydraulic design of guide vane should not ignore.The internal and external barrel of traditional space vane are waist drum types,whose radial dimension is big and the manufacturing cost is high,whose guide blades are complex space warp shape,and difficult to design and manufacture.Leo Changsha swan industrial pump co.ltd designed a new type of guide vane,which has the characteristic of simple structure,small radial size,hydraulic loss,easy to manufacture and whose guide blades are single arc.This paper studied the single arc space guide vane with the method of theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and experiment study at the request of this company,the main research work is as follows:1.Consulting a large number domestic and foreign literatures,the research status at home and abroad of the oblique flow pump?the space guide vane and the optimization design of the pump was summarized,and the oblique flow pump and guide vane were made introduced simply.2.In order to a vertical oblique flow pump in Leo Changsha swan industrial pump co.ltd.as an example,the hydraulic design of impeller,traditional guide vane and new single arc space guide vane were completed with the method of velocity coefficient method,and the flow region(including the bell mouth,impeller,annular space,space guide vane,the water pipe)of oblique flow pump was made with the software of Solidworks.3.The oblique flow pump of the same impeller matching traditional space guide vane and single arc space guide vane were taken the numerical simulation respectively with ANSYS-CFX,and the velocity and pressure distribution and so on in the flow area and the numerical calculation results with the test results were carried on the qualitative analysis and comparison.The results show that the simulation curves of oblique flow pump matching single arc space guide vane is slightly higher than the traditional space guide vane,which shows that the design of single arc space guide vane has reached the intended purpose and can meet the needs of engineering practice at a certain flow range.4.The key structure parameters of single arc space guide vane was studied with the method of the orthogonal experiment based on the mature numerical simulation method,and the main factors and the secondary factors influencing the vertical oblique flow pump performance were found with the method of the range analysis and the optimal design scheme was put forward.The author obtained the head and efficiency of the optimal solution of oblique flow pump by means of numerical simulation,comparing with the prototype pump,whose head increased by 9.0%,and the efficiency by 1.1%.5.The external characteristic experiment of oblique flow pump was introduced,including test equipment,test system,test process etc.,The result of the optimized model pump experiment research shows that the trend of the optimized performance curve is roughly same with the test curve,the results of numerical simulation and experimental results are similar in small flow condition,the error is bigger and bigger with the increase of flow rate,but head maximum error is not more than 6.8%,and the efficiency not more than 7.0%,which is within the permitted error range,and this proves the feasibility and the accuracy of using numerical simulation to carry on orthogonal experiment.
