Mud water inrush is a major disaster in tunnel construction, which can cause serious casualties and economic losses. So, the systematic study on the characteristics of mud water inrush disaster, with summing up the advanced geolog prediction and prevention control technology of such disasters has a great practical value to the tunnel construction safety and disaster prevention.This paper analyzes the characteristics of mud water inrush disaster, It is indicated that the main factors causing the water inrush and mud burst are geological factors,followed by hydrological and engineering factors. Water rich weak fracture zone and karst caves are the leading cause of the disaster.In order to prevent the occurrence of mud water inrush in the tunneling, it is necessary to take scientific and effective measures in the process of investigation, construction and operation.In this paper, classification of advanced geological prediction technology based on distance and means, the commonly used technology of long distance geological prediction is seismic wave reflection method and direct current method,the short distance geological prediction is mainly composed of geological radar and infrared water exploration. In this paper, the criteria theory ,forecast process and results interpretation of TSP technology in seismic wave and radar forecast technology in common short-term geological prediction are discussed, summarizes their characteristics and application scope. At the same time,with the emphasis on the treatment of mud water inrush, this paper focuses on the manifestation and response characteristics of the water rich geological body in different prediction methods. Finally, based on the research status of geological prediction in tunneling, some problems in the current forecast system are put forward. Based on Yangcangyan II highway tunnel in this paper, the application of TSP advanced geological prediction and the application of geological radar in tunnel construction is studied in detail,the application results show that the synthetical prediction accuracy is higher.In this paper, the design of grouting scheme, the implementation of grouting process and the evaluation of grouting effect are summarized. The grouting scheme includes full-face pre-grouting, curtain grouting, local grouting and radial grouting. the scope of grouting reinforcement should be considered in three aspects: the length of grouting section, the diffusion radius of grouting and the spacing of grouting holesthe.The grouting materials should be selected according to the requirements of reinforcement and water shutoff. In the process of grouting, grouting preparation is generally carried out from three aspects, such as slurry wall, drainage and reinforcement.The grouting method is divided into the following steps: forward grouting, back grouting, Under-borehole grouting and one time full hole grouting.The evaluation of grouting effect includes geophysical method,parameter analysis method, inspection hole method, excavation sampling method and deformation monitoring method.In order to prevent the occurrence of mud water inrush,The full section grouting medthod was used for water proofing in a Unfavorable Geological Tunnel, introduced the design of grouting scheme and the process of grouting in detail.Finally, it is proved that the grouting effect is obvious through the effect evaluation and excavation verificationn.
