With the rapid development of transport and the demands of fundamental construction,the truck ownership is growing at a rapid clip which causes the energy shortage and environment pollution increasingly serious.Because of its heavy loads and complex working conditions,the fuel consumption per unit of the heavy-duty is much larger than that of passenger vehicles,but the fuel price stay high.Therefore,on the promise of its dynamic performance to improve fuel economy will greatly save user's cost,improve competitive ability in automobile industry,and bring favorable economic and social benefit.Parameters of power train have a significant effect on automotive dynamics and fuel economy,and at the same time,driving cycles is an import reference for matching of power system.This paper mainly takes the vehicle's fuel consumption as the optimized object,power property as constrains to match and optimize the power transmission system of a heavy-duty dump truck under the developed driving cycle.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1)A road driving cycle date acquisition scheme was developed,large numbers of proving ground tests were carried out by users,and correlation program was programmed with MATLAB software to build the driving cycle(DT driving cycle)which accords with the real driving conditions of heavy-duty dump truck at the site.2)The mode of TY heavy-duty dump truck was established with the software of AVL-CRUISE;The secondary development on the model of driving cycles was programed and imported the database.3)The dynamic performance and fuel economy was simulated and analyzed,and as the same time,the accuracy of the results got verified.This paper made a contrastive study on the operating points of engine and the fuel consumption under the DT driving cycle and the 6-cycle.The result shows that the fuel consumption is more close to the actual value under the developed driving cycle,but the engine operating point is still deviation from the high efficiency area,so there is a large optimization space.4)Under the DT driving cycle,this heavy-duty dump truck was simulated calculated with 126 combinatorial projects(14 transmissions,9 final ratios).The result shows that the fuel consumption can reduce 8.4%and 13.6%under full-load and no-load working conditions with the optimal combination scheme.
