Soil particles are the most common types of particles in nature,and it is widely used in human production and construction,but because of the high degree of complexity,most research of exploring soil particles by experiment,it seems to be the most common method.With the development of complex network theory,it has been widely used in transportation,management,social and other fields.At the same time,the development of discrete element software making it to become a reality that the simulation of simplified soil particles.the force chain of sandy soil particle under uniaxial compression was simulated numerically by using EDEM software,then the contact force chain network between the particles was analyzed numerically by using the method of complex networks in this paper.The main work is as follows:First,the force chain of sandy soil particle under uniaxial compression was simulated numerically by using EDEM software in this paper.the undirected network model of normal forces chain of soil particles under the conditions of uniaxial compression was built by taking the particle center as a node of network,and connection between two nodes both with contact each other and with normal force as the edge of the network.Because of the high complexity of the soil particle system,so the soil particles are simplified to a considerable extent.Under a certain assumptions,for example,the effect of water in the soil particles and the viscosity of the particles are not taken into account?Second,we have simulated and analyzed the dynamic topological characteristics of the force chain network of the particle under the same particle size and different particle size.For the constructed contact network,this paper uses pajek software to get three important parameters in the complex network system: degree ? average Shortest path and the clustering coefficient.These network parameters are used to describe the internal chain structure of the particles.The results show that the agglomeration phenomenon of the particles are more and more obvious,and the capacity of transmission of force chain network are increasing with the evolution.It is not enough to take all the particles in the particle system as a whole.It can not represent the characteristics of a certain kind of particle network,so we also classify the particles.In this paper,the contact force chain network is divided into three different force chain network,including strong ?medium and weak force chain network,then we use the complex network to study its internal topology.We find that the force chain network presents the chain form,and because its average path is the shortest,so the ability to deliver loads is the strongest.
