In recent years, the district heating for the towns in China has progressed rapidly, and thus there are increasing amount of heat supply network, however, hydraulic imbalance phenomenon commonly occur to the heat supply network, resulting in waste of energy.Therefore, it is of particular importance to overcome this hydraulic imbalance, and implement hydraulic balance modulation on heat supply network so as to realize the desirable hydraulic balance of the heat supply network. It is known that various means can be applied to modulate hydraulic balance. This essay focuses on investigating the application of model analysis in preliminary modulation to the network hydraulic balance. When the network has simple structure, hand computation can be adopted. But when come across complicate network, hand computation could be far from enough. Therefore, combining with knowledge on network graph theory, utilizing Matlab software, this essay programmed quick and convenient hydraulic balance modulation software. Thus, as for large scale network, even though debugging personnel is not qualified with programmability, this software could be adopted to carry out rapid computation, the solution for hydraulic balance modulation could be provided,and thus the efficiency of preliminary modulation could be improved.The software programming mainly takes graph theory and network topological structure as theory basis. Through establishing hydraulic regime mathematical model for heat supply network, the model analysis is analyzed particularly. After multiple checking computation for the program, appropriate non-linear network is figured out according to the accuracy of checking computation results, ie. mathematical algorithm for heat supply network; the Matlab software is utilized to compile hydraulic computational programe (MPK) and modulation program for hydraulic balance (HBRC); combining with the visual compiling language of the GUI interface in Matlab, the visual program of the software (HBRS) is compiled; Finally packaging the main program and related subprogram to constitute network hydraulic computation and hydraulic modulation software, HBRS software for short. After installing this software,users input several heat supply network initial parameter - section numbering,mode numbering, section resistance etc; click the operation of the software, check the button and the hydraulic computation results before heat supply network modulation can be achieved,then provide modulation solution for heat supply network hydraulic modulation according to the hydraulic imbalance degree of the section. In order to further validate the feasibility of the software,after completed the software programming,compare analysis for the theoretical computed value of certain small scale network and HBRS software computed value is carried out, including the hydraulic computed value and hydraulic balance modulation computational results. The feasibility of the HBRS software and the accuracy of the computed value are validated. Finally, taking the heat supply network in "happiness family areola" as an example,topological structure simplification and numbering are implemented to network, and then the programmed software is utilized to compute, the hydraulic imbalance condition before preliminary modulation of each user are obtained, then hydraulic balance modulation solution for "happiness family areola" is obtained through software computation.
