Marine energy,as an inexhaustible green energy resource, is a critical issue in remission of the energy depletion. In which tidal current energy is one of the important aspects to develop. Water current turbine is an effective transducer to convert tidal current kinetic energy to electricity efficiently, it can be classified into horizontal, vertical, axial and oscillating hydrofoils shaft modes. Turbine which has been studied in this paper is oscillating hydrofoils mode. Since it has a pitching-coupled motion characteristic with double-blade concatenation, blades lifting and reciprocate impeller motion, tidal current energy can be captured by it.Kinematic analysis has been studied based on impeller design of turbine. Triple geared drive has been designed, which formatted by "impeller-secondary consolidation mechanism-main transmission mechanism". Synchronous motion impeller-blade structure has been designed by elevating gear characteristic.Computational fluid dynamics software (CFD) has been used in analyzing turbine hydrodynamic performance, mechanical property and lifting coefficient has been obtained as basis data of verification.Structure design has been consummated, dimension of the turbine and peripherals of turbine have been defined, and 3-D model has been built. To verify stability of turbine structure, static structure analysis of blades, impeller shaft and transmission shaft have been done by FEA software ANSYS Workbench, and fatigue analysis of turbine main shaft has been studied.Oscillation property of first tenth order of impeller and blade has been obtained after analysis modalities of FEA models of critical turbine parts. Verified there is no resonance would be exists by comparing inherent frequency with tidal current frequency. Mode superposition method has been used to analyze dynamic response of impeller under unbalanced mass load that verified structure reliability.
