Acoustic positioning technology has been a research focus in the field of underwater acoustic technology, and passive location technology has played an important part in it .Among them, the three element array passive positioning technology has been widely used in the field,it is the principle of the spherical wave front curvature wave or cylindrical wave changes, through the measurement of every array element between the relative delay, to estimate the distance to the target and orientation of the objective. This paper from the sound source signal generated , transmitted signal delay measurement method , the triangular shaped bursts of various systems analysis and error analysis are discussed ternary triangular matrix positioning methods , the positioning of the simulation program . Based on the received signal cross-power spectrum analysis function, due to the noise influence, the estimation error of the cross-power spectrum phase function for the received signal will affect the accuracy of time delay measurements . After positioning accuracy error analysis, array depth , pitch angle measurement error, the horizontal angle measurement errors have a greater impact on passive positioning accuracy. For the formation of a triangular array of different analysis found that the positioning simulation results Cartesian array Africa isosceles right isosceles right front than good ; For non- isosceles right array , the localization algorithm positioning algorithm and the effect of the basic cone intersecting lines little difference. For the formation of an equilateral triangle , it can be an advantage to the coarse orientation selected according to the target high positioning accuracy for positioning the formula.
