Abstract/Summary:
As a common type of space in modern urban architecture, flat space plays a more and more important role in people’s production and life. Because of its large space size, lots of combustible material, dense crowd, once there is a fire in space, it will be fiercely and it will be difficult for personnel evacuation. So far, the research work on the flat space fire is mainly focused on the aspects of the smoke exhaust experiment, the research on the smoke flow characteristics and temperature distribution is less. In view of the deficiency of the current fire research work, this paper studied the characteristics of the fire smoke flow in flat space and the effectiveness of the smoke exhaust. The conclusion can be used for the early detection of the fire and the design for the fire safety. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1) By comparing the simulation results with the experimental data, this paper drawed a conclusion that the numerical simulation software FDS is applicable to simulate the fire in flat space.(2) The "ceiling jet" phenomenon is analyzed when fire ocours in the flat space, by changing the fire intensity and space height, this paper studied the decrease of the temperature and velocity distribution in horizontal direction, and the temperature distribution in the vertical direction.(3) by comparing numerical simulation and theoretical calculation, this paper studied the law of smoke spread and the law of smoke filling in flat space, analyzed the application of the relevant conclusion. The result will provide a more accurate idea for fire simulation research.(4) by changing the exhaust rate and the amount of the air port, this paper studied the method of improving the efficiency of the smoke exhaust.
