Ship power system relay protection is used to detect and eliminate failure or abnormal running state of the system,reduce blackout area under the fault,guarantee the continuous power supply of the non fault region, improve the safety and reliability of the power system operation.In recent years, as the ship integrated power system (IPS) is proposed, and the emergence of some high-energy ship-borne weapons, the capacity of the ship power system is expanding constantly, the structure of power supply network is becoming more and more complicated, the diversification degree of system operation mode is deepened, the traditional ship electric power system protection setting value is obtained through off-line calculation and remain unchanged in the running, it can not well adapt to the changes of operation mode of ship power system which reduces the performance of relay protection in different degrees,gradually cannot meet the requirements of future ship power system protection, so it is need to seek new protection ways to solve this problem. Adaptive relay protection system was used in the power system of land development early,it can real-time change the protection function and value according to the change of power system operation mode and fault type, ensure the best operation of the whole relay protection system,more fully play its performance,which improves the selectivity of relay protection system, quick action, reliability and sensitivity.For ship power system, the adaptive protection method is still in the theoretical research stage,it will greatly improve the reliability of ship power system if it can be applied to the actual ship power system in the future, so the application of adaptive protection in ship power system has important research significance.The topic designs a software for protection simulation of the ship integrated power system by the use of VC++ development tools. In the simulation platform, we take the supply and distribution network of ship integrated power system as the research object and study the traditional protection scheme and adaptive protection. Among them, the traditional three-stage protection scheme based on the principle of the protection of the current time, the maximum and minimum operating mode tuning considers the setting value of the entire system, the setting value remains unchanged during the operation; adaptive protection scheme uses different protection with three-stage protection combined analysis of the four typical operation mode and sets the value of the four operation modes separately, the calculation process only considers the maximum and minimum operating mode of current operating mode. After setting value calculations are completed,save it to the database to prepare for the call, finally validate the protect action simulation.Through simulation validation of the protection scheme and verification of the performance analysis, the analysis results show that the adaptive protection scheme used in this study can be based on the topological analysis of the mode of operation, call the corresponding values from the database tuning, complete the protective action of simulation verification, which can effectively improve the choice of protection that is not optimal; the switch has redundant actions and generator outlet circuit breaker time delay for a long time.The protection simulation software is reliable, friendly interface.
