Free metallic particles are the main factors which will endanger the GIS gas insulation equipment. The size and shape of these particles inside the GIS are randomness. There are some types of metal particles which the electric field force acting on is less than the gravity are stop in the GIS shell. They are less hazardous.Because of the action of the circuit breaker, the GIS shell will have a huge vibration, which makes the particles change the state from static to motion and it may reduce the GIS insulation.According to this, the paper carried out the following work:1.Studied the propagation characteristics of GIS cylindrical shell subjected to load shock.Vibration has two kinds of modes of transmission in the shell: transverse waves and longitudinal waves and only the transverse waves have the greatest influence on the behavior of objects on the surface of the shell.2.Simulated the movement behavior of spherical particles impacted by external force, and analyzed the effect of the voltage on the beating height of spherical particles. And the impact vibration test of spherical particles was carried out in the laboratory. The results show that the spherical particles affected by vibration bounce height is only related to the impact of the size and location. The spherical particles, which are subjected to vibration jump and beat in place with its amplitude decay, and finally still in the shell under the high voltage conductor. When the spherical particle under the ring,it randomly beats on the face of shell after the shell vibration. When the spherical particle moves to the edge of under the ring and hover, and the voltage polarity reversed at the same time. The axial component of the electric field causes the spherical particles to leave the ring, and finally stops under the High voltage conducting rod.3.Simulated the wire particle deflection angle and the charge after deflection cause by impact vibration, the paper studied the force conditon of wire particle after it deflected and the movement behavior. The impact vibration test of wire particles was carried out in the laboratory. The results show that under the impact vibration, one end of the wire particle is deflected upward, and the other end of the line is in contact with the ground electrode. It leads to a sharp increase in the number of charged. The wire particle will finally standing by the electric field force. When the particle standing,by the vertical upward force of the electric field force, wire particles continue to beat up and down, and by the influence of the GIS internal lateral electric field gradient force at the same time, horizontal move to the insulator. When the wire particle close to the insulator,it will be attached to the surface of the insulator.4.A stationary spherical particle in the GIS shell suffer from impacted will start beats but it will finally rest under the the High voltage conducting rod which is certain harm to GIS;A horizontal stationary particles in the GI shell suffer from impacted will stand and move to the insulator and attached on the surface of the insulator which will do great harm to the GIS.
