SF6 gas is widely recognized and applied in power system because of its excellent performance nowadays.Running status、performance、density and micro water content of SF6 gas has a serious impact on stable and safe operation of power system.It is an inevitable trend that the state examination and on-line monitoring are used for electric apparatus.The state examination and on-line monitoring of SF6 gas is more and more important.The article based on new principle,research a SF6 GIS on-line monitoring system of density and micro water content,and it can make a good job.When the SF6 gas electric apparatus has leakage or the density out of limits,the system can give an alarm even interlock.Workers can check the density and micro water content of SF6 gas locally or romotely.The monitoring of SF6 gas is beneficial to stable and safe operation of power system.
