Hydropower is clean and renewable.The theoretical reserves of hydropower,installed capacity and annual power production are all at the first rank in the world.With the development of China's economy,the demand for energy,especially the demands for green energy continues to increase.As a result of decade's development,the difficulty of planning and developing new hydropower station continues to increase.By optimizing the built hydropower station,the power generation potential can be upgraded.Utilization water consumption has a very important significance in the current era which persues energy saving and emission reduction.There are different types of hydropower station.The run-off-river hydropower station is unfunctional in flow regulation as usually they are built without a large reservoir.With water flow change frequently and uncontrolable,the waterhead difference cause a fluctuation during turbine operation,which will also result efficiency decrease.For the same reason the potencial capacity of the power station also various from time to time.This paper base on project in real.Provide solutions to improve the functionality of the run-off-river hydropower from various angle,such as optimizing equipment,optimizing operation and optimizing management.A successive approximation met –hod algorithm is introduced into the water level control concept,which is proved to be nessesarry for both operation-saftey and operation-optimizing.Based on AGC control,the level control mechanism is proved to be function well in practice.And the analyze of the relationship between the plant in upstream and downstream run-off-river plant,make it is possible to make a forcast on load curve for run-off-river plant though analyzing the operation history data from power plant in upstream.
