In recent years,a large number of safety accidents incurred on bridges,resulting in massive loss to the national economy,people`s lives and properties,people already draw more and more attention to the bridge safety issues during the constructionand operation,these disastrous incidents make us have to be realized to the importance of establishing healthy monitoring system to the whole process from bridge construction,operation until finally out of service,and utilize the evaluation to the monitored results,to provide guidance and basis of referenc e to the maintenance,repair and management decision on bridges,to reduce and even avoid the happening of safety accidents.Along with the development of communication technology and its application in the bridge condition monitoring,the traditional manual monitoring has been transformed to real time and on line monitoring,which not only improve the response speed to bridge structure damages and emergency incidents,also get the manpower and materials saved.This thesis introduces the bridge deflection monitoring methods which are being widely used in domestic and abroad,analyzed the characteristics,limitation and basic principle of each method,every method has its own characteristics and there is no any single method is applicable to all kinds of bridge structural types.One improved,semi-enclosed,pressure referred method of bridge deflection monitoring system has been raised in this thesis,on bas is of the detailed analysis to current.researching development in this filed,taking a site example with one continuous rigid structure bridge at Baolong Yunnan Province,and comprehensively applied the theories and methods in multi disciplinary fields.Main items researched and achievements obtained are presented asbelow:1.Preparation of the general programme of system,illustration for the chara cteristics and functions of its components in detail,and analysis of the principle of measurement;with the double base point calibration method,the deflection calculation formula was been derived,and the theoretical characteristics of this system has been analyzed as well.2.Completed the research,development and model selection of hardware equipments required for system.The software model,viz data queries and saving software has been developed based on the C# language and open source SQ Lite embedded database.3.Take the three continuous rigid structure bridge as field example,considering the actual situation thereof,putting this system into fact.Through the operation status observation in long period,the stability and effectiveness of this system has been analyzed and verified,and after comparison to the data manually measured to the deflection,the effectiveness and feasibility of this system is further certified,and it can satisfy the requirement for deflection real time and on line monitoring.
