Chinese Fusion Engineering Test Reactor(CFETR),an ambitious fusion reactor project between ITER and DEMO,is a superconducting tokamak fusion reactor and still under conceptual design at the moment.CFETR is designed to generate 50-200 MW fusion powers and its tritium consumption rate reaches over 30 g/d under the highest output power.Taking the limited tritium reserve and huge tritium consumption into consideration,tritium self-sufficiency is a key issue in nowadays fusion reactor.Based on the investigation of tritium's basic physicochemical properties and the detailed analysis of tritium transport process in the material,some theoretical calculations are done,to simulate tritium transport process in the plate model and round tube model.Meanwhile,the selection of second boundary conditions is also discussed in this article.Considering tritium transport problem in the irregular structure,which widely exists in the engineering design of CFETR,this article attempts to introduce Finite Element Method(FEM)into the simulation work of tritium transport process.A small finite element calculation program is developed using MATLAB software.To verify whether the finite element method can be used in this problem,a feasibility calculation was done in a single 2D flow channel structure of First Wall profile in CFETR Water Coolant Solid Breeder(WCSB)blanket.Blanket is a fundamental component in the magnetic confinement fusion reactor,which also play a tritium breeding role in fusion reactor.Considering CFETR's tritium self-sufficiency demand,this article mainly focuses on the analysis of tritium transport process in CFETR WCSB blanket.Based on the analyses of WCSB blanket's design,a simplified tritium transport model is set up for this blanket and the simulation program of tritium transport in blanket is developed using MATLAB software.Tritium concentration,tritium inventory and tritium losses in WCSB blanket are analyzed during the period between CFETR's start and constant operation.Besides,considering the uncertainty in the conceptual blanket design,carried out are sensitivity analyses of influential parameters,including tritium source,temperature,flow-rate capacity and surface condition.The results offer valuable references for the design of CFETR WSCB blanket in the next period.
