Research On The Zhenwu Temple Of Yuxian

Yuxian located in the south of Zhangjiakou,Hebei Province,as one of the ancient "Yanyun 16 states",is a key town,with the extremely important strategic position.Since the founding emperor Shi Jingtang in Jin Dynasty gave "Yanyun 16 states" to the Khitan,Northern China lost the geographical barrier,the Central Plains hinterland completely exposed in front of the minority,the Han nationality repeatedly suffered from the war.Ming Hongwu first year,the emperor Zhu Yuanzhang recovered it.Since then,Yuxian became the forward position for the Han nationality to fight against other minority's military invasion.Therefore,Yuxian implemented the policy of Solid wall in Ming Dynasty,the cultural wonders "eight hundred village fort,eight hundred stage" gradually formed.As the royal family strongly respected,combined with the war constantly,Zhenwu belief in the late Ming Dynasty gradually populared in Yuxian,with a large number of constructions of the temple,and the formation of sacrificial architecture and village,in the city's unique cultural landscape.Zhenwu Temple building is a ritual sacrifice building,dedicated to the Zhenwu Tati.It is not practical to the main,more than the anchorage of human mind,becoming spiritual high ground in living environment.Zhenwu Temple is often the spiritual center of a particular space,all living and construction activities are carried out around it.The construction of its own form is the top priority of the whole living environment,focusing on the specific historical period,the region under the ritual culture,city and village culture,architectural features,aesthetic characteristics,which have a unique cultural value.Based on the historical data of local literature and cultural census statistics,this paper takes the construction of Zhenwu Temple in Yuxian as the research object,collecting a lot of relevant statistics information,combining with the field research,mapping of the Yuxian Zhenwu Temple,the North castle Zhenwu Temple,South Liuzhuang Fort Zhenwu Temple,Shuitong Fort Zhenwu Temple,Caotuan Fort Zhenwu Temple,analyzing of the system of Yuxian Zhenwu Temple's development process,distribution and location,the overall layout of buildings,single building features and decoration,in order to form a conclusion,and provide a reference for the protection,repairing and the research of Zhenwu Temple building in Yuxian.
