With the rapid development of China’s transportation industry,lead to the rapid increase in traffic volume,limited by the low performance of pavement materials and maintenance is not timely and other comprehensive factors,asphalt pavement in the service period of a large number of early diseases.The incorporation of fiber has become one of the important ways to comprehensively improve the performance of asphalt mixture,it seems from the micro,basalt fiber properties of asphalt can improve the effect;it seems from the macro,basalt fiber overall strength of asphalt concrete to improve learning performance.At present,our country in the studies on fiber reinforced asphalt concrete performance aspect is still in the exploratory stage,for the specific type of fiber in accordance with the actual situation of China’s road construction and design method of complete system has not been set up,and the cost of foreign fiber production is expensive,the construction investment cost is greatly increased.Taking into account the main raw material for the production of basalt fiber basalt is widely distributed in China,the reserves are very rich,the basalt fiber can meet the needs of road construction.Based on this,the method of adding basalt fiber into asphalt mixture to improve the road performance of asphalt mixture,in order to avoid the early damage of asphalt pavement,the following research work has been carried out:(1)By introducing the theory of composite material and the interfacial chemical theory on the mechanism of fiber reinforced asphalt mixture were analyzed,elaborated the adsorption,stability,fiber reinforcement,viscosity,crack resistance and toughening and increase the self-healing ability,to explore the feasibility of fiber reinforced the performance of asphalt mixture.(2)Selection of basalt fiber,polyester fiber and lignin fiber were analyzed to examine three fiber mechanical properties,thermal stability,hygroscopicity and oil absorption,the results show that the moisture absorption rate of basalt fiber is minimum,the mechanical properties and thermal stability is better than that of polyester fiber and wood fiber quality,comprehensive consideration of the performance of three kinds of fiber,basalt the fiber has more excellent performance.(3)The three kinds of fibers with different dosage of asphalt,asphalt three index test,bending beam test and dynamic shear rheological test,to investigate the performance of fiber asphalt.The test results show that after the incorporation of fibers,the high-temperature performance of asphalt binder is obviously improved,but the low temperature performance was reduced.According to the test results of three kinds of asphalt mortar,basalt fiber is the best choice for polyester fiber and lignin fiber.(4)Using AC-13 as the basalt fiber asphalt mixture gradation and mixture ratio design,determine the optimal asphalt content of different basalt fiber asphalt mixture content,Marshall test and on the basis of analysis of basalt fiber material the influence of Marshall on the index of asphalt mixture.The results show that the basalt fiber increases the optimum asphalt content of asphalt mixture,and each increase of fiber volume 0.1% of optimum asphalt content increased by about 0.05%,with the increase of fiber volume,bulk density of bituminous mixtures,Marshall stability,porosity and aggregate clearance rate increase gradually,flow value of discrete changes,Marshall stability in the basalt fiber content is0.4% maximum.(5)The amount of asphalt mixture with different basalt fiber material rutting test,beam bending test,indirect tensile test,freeze-thaw splitting test and immersion Marshall test,test of fiber asphalt mixture on the road with the improvement of performance and on this basis to determine the optimal dosage of fiber.The results show that the basalt fiber makes the asphalt mixture dynamic stability,flexural tensile strain and the immersion residual stability and a series of road performance indexes of different level increases,improve the high temperature stability of asphalt mixture,low temperature crack resistance and water stability,optimum dosage of basalt fiber asphalt mixture based on AC-13 road performance test results for 0.4%.
