The reticulated shell structures have the advantage of light weight,high rigidity,wide covering space and reasonable force,it is widely used in public buildings,such as gymnasiums,exhibition centers and terminal buildings.The single-layer valley style latticed intersected cylindrical shell(LICS)is made up of the upper part of the intersecting cylinders,which has a smooth surface modeling and a beautiful inner architectural space.Five types of the single-layer valley style LICS included Three-directional grid LICS,Lamella reticulated LICS,Fred Boolean type LICS,Single-diagonal LICS,Double-diagonal LICS are studied by this paper,the concrete works are as follows:(1)According to the geometric characteristics of the single-layer valley style LICS,five basic models of the single-layer valley style LICS(Three-directional grid LICS,Lamella reticulated LICS,Fred Boolean type LICS,Single-diagonal LICS,Double-diagonal LICS)are established by using APDL language which referring to the modeling method and meshing forms of the single-layer ridge style LICS.The static load is applied on the structure.The influence of the grid form,the span S,the vector height f,the number of the circular region Kn,the number of radial nodes Nx and the support forms on the static performance of the structure is studied,which provide practical evidence for engineering design.(2)The paper analyzes the optimal steel consumption of Three-directional grid LICS,Fred Boolean type LICS,Single-diagonal LICS and Double-diagonal LICS in the case of different span S,vector height f and the number of the annular region Kn by using a relative difference quotient algorithm.The structure takes the total steelconsumption as the objective function.(3)The relationship between the geometric length of Three-directional grid LICS,Fred Boolean type LICS,Single-diagonal LICS and Double-diagonal LICS and the span S,the vector height f,the number of the circular region Kn,the number of radial nodes Nx is deduced.The section size of structure is determined according to the relationship between macro and micro geometric parameters of the single-layer ridge style LICS.The design efficiency of structure is improved.(4)The vibration frequency variation and seismic response of Three-directional grid LICS,Fred Boolean type LICS,Single-diagonal LICS and Double-diagonal LICS are analyzed when the span S,the vector height f,the number of the circular region Kn,the number of radial nodes Nx are changed.The change rules are summarized.The curve of the vibration frequency and the maximum node displacement with time are drawn.Some general conclusions are obtained.In this paper,the analysis of the single-layer valley style LICS is summarized and relevant research work is put forward at last.
