The physical and mechanical properties of soft soil are the foundation in research of basic parameters of strength and deformation of soft soil foundation.However,due to the influence of many factors such as historical origin,occurrence environment etc.,soil properties show obvious regional and variable characteristics.Because of this,design often has great difficulties,which needs to consider the impact of various factors.In the study of geotechnical engineering uncertainty model,the random field model has been widely applied in last decades.Based on the collection of a large number of engineering survey reports in Zhoushan area,this paper has carried on the detailed statistics and research to the soil characteristic parameters of soft soil.First of all,the theory of random field and the random field theory of geotechnical engineering are introduced in this paper.The theoretical basis and the method of solving the stability,the history of each state and the relevant distance are introduced in detail.Based on the collected engineering geological survey report and geotechnical parameters,the results show that the stability of Zhoushan silty clay and muddy-silty clay and the history of each state are verified by using the heavy and compressive modulus index.Then,according to the actual situation the relevant distance is selected and the relevant distance of Zhoushan main island is obtained by using the compression modulus index.Accordingly,under the condition of collecting soil parameters of silty clay and muddy-silty clay in 22 sites in the main island area,the physical indexes,such as natural water content,natural gravity,plastic limit and compression coefficient were calculated.The coefficient of variation of three mechanics indexes is obtained by using the random field model of Vanmarche,and the autocorrelation characteristic of soil parameters is studied deeply.Due to the limits of samples in number and scale,the results may be uncertain,which needs more experiments to confirm.
