Evolution Of The Ring Topology And Design Strategy

Topology,which is a branch of geometry,is mainly used as the geometric Topology in construction,which is about the study of the geometry changes.Since the advence of topology not only used widely in the areas of science and art,also disruptive for people to understand the natural world and provide a new point of view.Architecture as a fusion of art and science subject,has long been favored by mathematics,especially the influence of the geometry.Topology for architecture theory research and practical application of production brought new changes.Ring topology is one of the most classic and simple topology graphic,has already been used by some architects in architecture creation,however,limited by Euclidean geometry and the contradiction of digital technology,its application in construction is still limited.Further study of morphological evolution law of the ring topology is beneficial to solve this contradiction,which is likely to extend its application in the field of architecture.The thesis mainly discusses the the concept of a ring topology and its application in design.By studying the ring topology geometric features and constructing strategy,the thesis points out its application in the field of building new possibilities,and discusses the choice of the application of principles and translation strategy;At the same time,the thesis combined the ring topology with actual cases to sum up the ring topology’s application to the architectural design of creative thinking,and to create new architectural forms and space forms.The first chapter briefly introduces the research background and significance of ring topology,and elaborated the paper research framework and major research methods.The second chapter mainly introduced the concept of ring topology and its natural advantages in the field of construction,as well as the application in building on the inheritance and transcendence.The third chapter was the core part of the thesis,the focus of the discussion for the ring topology changes of the controllable factors,including space interface and space of cross section control element,summed up the ring topology evolution rule and strategy.The fourth part mainly summed up the contemporary architectural design in ring topology geometric prototype,contour topology,space topology and the reference path topology through real cases.In the conclusion part of the article,the author summarizes the subject of current research and the development direction of outlook.
