With the accelerated process of urbanization in China,in recent years, urban waterlogging frequent, the country has also launched a sponge city development strategy in recent years. How to make full use of rainwater resources to become a new topic in front of each builder. This research is carried out by investigating the construction of relevant units,to collect the construction of the parties to the rainwater harvesting system awareness and generally reflect the problem, summarizing the main factors that affect the economic benefits of rainwater harvesting system.Through the study of Nantong surrounding rainwater collection and utilization of the project, understanding the different uses, operating conditions, and payback periods for rainwater harvesting.By drawing on the success of each project experience, and providing the basis for the implementation and optimization of the rainwater harvesting system. This research is based on the research and analysis of rainwater harvesting and utilization of science and technology window project,In the project design and construction process from the collection of rainwater sources, landscape design, pipeline collection system, the depth of rainwater treatment and other options as well as abandoned wells, reservoirs and other equipment parameters optimization and other aspects, controlling the multi-level of construction costs. At the same time, the benefits of the two built-in tenders in the initial rainwater utilization were compared and analyzed. Finally, through the measurement of the window of the rainwater collection and utilization system construction costs, combined with operating costs and operational benefits estimates, calculating the static investment payback period for the rainwater harvesting project.
