Barrel is a key part of the artillery,and the quality of the barrel bore has important influence on the characteristics of ballistic and the service life of artillery.So the barrel detection is essential in the processing and using of artillery.Compared with traditional detection technology,the laser scanning measurement method can quickly and accurately obtain the 3D information of the object surface,and detect the geometry of the object.Because of this feature,it is gradually applied to the gun bore detection,and the processing of laser point cloud has also become a hot topic in research.In this paper,the research of surface reconstruction based on laser point cloud is proposed,and realistic 3D model of barrel bore is rebuilt,which are based on the artillery barrel bore detection system designed by ourselves.Firstly,the bore detection system based on laser profilometer sensor is introduced,and its acquisition method is analyzed.According to the errors of the raw point cloud data,the position correction and denoising processing are proposed.Then the cubic spline interpolation method is used to repair the hole of point cloud,and the cross correlation algorithm and weighted fusion algorithm are used to stitch the segmented point cloud data.After the study of point cloud simplification algorithms,a uniform grid reduction algorithm based on curvature is proposed.This algorithm can not only persevere the details of the cloud point,but also avoid the local data simplified too much.And according to the simplified point cloud data,a scanning line triangulation algorithm based on convex hull is used to reconstruct the surface of the gun barrel.And by the texture mapping technology,the bore image is mapped to the 3D model surface,which enhance the realism of the model.Finally,the prototype visual system based on PCL and QT programming libraries is developed,which improve the efficiency of viewing and processing the point cloud data for users.It implements many functions such as common interactive commands,triangulation,texture mapping and so on.Through the series of processing of the laser point cloud data,the 3D model of the artillery barrel bore is finally rebuilt.So that the inspectors can not only visualize the artillery barrel bore directly,but also find the specific location of the flaws and the degree of damage by manual interaction,which enriches the means of the artillery gun detection.
