| In the widely Northeast land,the Songhua River from the cradle of Changbaishan Tianchi to the fertile Northeast China Plain has formed a unique "Songhua River culture." Folk known as "there was Wula before that Jilin was formed ".Wulajie Town,as a representative of the typical historic towns in the northeast region,has special historic and cultural value.However,with the continuous development of urbanization,historic town can not fit the growing needs of the villagers.It leads the original context of the town was damaged by the large number of disorder behaviors.The disharmonious coexistence of old and new buildings was even obliterated the status of traditional architecture.The construction of a new socialist countryside made the situation getting much worse on the cultural value of the Wulajie town.Even if the traditional buildings survived from disasters still would be abandoned or destroyed again.The thesis is mainly based on the historic context of the Wulajie Town,Jilin Province,and analyzes the data.It describes the source of the subject,the purpose and meaning of the study,the framework of the research and the research methods.The paper discusses the change of the formation,development and decline of the Wulajie town center by reviewing historical pictures and relevant historical documents,field visits and measurement,comparative analysis and other methods.This paper analyzes the present situation,functions and reuse value of traditional architecture of the Wulajie town,and tries to put forward the strategies of preservation and renewal of traditional buildings.From the actual situation of the field work,although the relevant documents and planning texts has been for a long time,it is still lack of relevant academic guidance in the building preservation and renewal level.The standards is rough about regional planning and building classification,and there is also some serious problems on the renewal and development pattern of the Wulajie town.There is a long way to go for the preservation and renewal of the center of the Wulajie town.This paper tries to provide some theoretical references for buildings preservation,urban design and architectural design of Wulajie town in the future by the study of the preservation and renewal of the traditional buildings of the Wulajie town.The thesis has four parts,the main contents are as follows:The first part introduces the background and significance of the subject,the present relevant researches and the limitation of the scope of the subject,summarizes the main contents and sorts out the framework of the paper.The second part gives a detailed introduction to the historical evolution of the Wulajie town,and expounds the construction of the Wulajie town in various periods.The third part describes field work including recording the traditional buildings one by one,summarizing the type,distribution,spatial layout,materials and decorative features of traditional buildings,and analyzing the value of traditional architecture and the problems in preservation.The fourth part,based on the existing investigation and analysis,discusses some suggestions on the preservation and renewal of the traditional buildings in the center of Wulajie town. |
