Run-of-the-river plant is also called plant without regulating reservoir,generally built in the middle and lower reaches of river,with the characteristics of the low water head and large reference flow.Due to the low water head,when the unit flow rate changes,the plant has a negative effect on the stable operation of the unit.There are also negative impacts on the reservoir bank slope stability and shipping.So researches on main factors affecting the surge wave propagation law,the negative on unit operation and the adverse impact of the shipping and explore the effective control measures are of great significance.Delft3D software is applied in this article to study the influence factors of surge wave in run-of-the-river plant,the propagation law and its control measures are discussed in the system.The main contents are as follows:1.First outline the background of surge wave research and review the significance of the unsteady flow in open channel flow surge wave,hydropower station,the surge wave control measure.2.Second outline the basic theory of shallow water dynamics,including the basic equation of a two-dimensional flow,shallow water equation discrete method.Delft3D software control equation and time difference method.3.Through a typical example,the simulation flow of hump and hydropower station tail water unsteady flow in open channel flow,compared with theory and literature results,verify the accuracy of Delft3D surge wave simulation,the software can be used to study the river flood wave problem.4.Simple rectangular channel model was used to study the change in the flow unit value,guide vane closing time,river bed roughness,river width and channel initial water depth and other factors on the influence law of surge wave,to identify the main influence factors of flood wave as the basis of design flood wave control measures.Using a island two rivers and river model analysis of the different operation way and the surge wave influence each other.Simulation comparison with adjacent gate "load shedding of unit joint operation" and "unit block load rejection" the effect of two types of surge wave control measures,choose better effect measures applied in the practical engineering simulation.5.Combining with the gezhouba project,the research on jiang branch surge wave of hydropower stations and analysis of flood wave impact on unit runoff power station operation and shipping.Analysis of "joint operation with adjacent load shedding of unit gate" the surge wave control measures.Delft3D was applied to study the surge wave phenomenon of the transient process in run-of-the-river plant.The surge wave factors and propagation law,surge wave influences on the stable operation of the unit and navigation conditions.In this paper,the research results can provide reference for the design of run-of-the-river plant.
