The compressor is one of the most important parts of the vehicle turbocharger,and its flow is very complex.At present,people have not been able to fully understand the flow field structure and the relevant flow mechanism of the compressor.The flow field analysis of the compressor is still the focus and difficulty in the current study.The pneumatic axial force of the compressor is a very important parameter while designing and checking thrust bearing of vehicle turbocharger.Therefore,the flow field and the pneumatic axial force of the turbocharger compressor are studied in this paper,and the reliability of the numerical calculation method,the influence factors of axial force and the influence of these factors on the flow field of the compressor are analyzed.In this paper,taking a turbocharger compressor as the research object,the three-dimensional model of the compressor is established with reference to relevant literature at home and abroad and its structure.The actual flow characteristics of the compressor under different working conditions are simulated and recorded.And then the distribution of the internal flow field and the axial force of the compressor and the variation law indifferent working conditions could be obtained.The results of this study show that the flow condition of the compressor is relatively good when the speed is low.The flow condition of gas is deteriorated with the increase of the rotational speed,and the range of the low pressure zone is enlarged,the vortex is obvious and the gas can't sufficiently flow and expand.The radial clearance of the seal ring does not have much effect on the flow field distribution of the compressor.Too small tip clearance will lead to leaf area flow disorder,and the region makes the largest flow loss and entropy increase.The value of the axial force increases with the decrease of the tip clearance or radial clearanceof the seal ring,and decreases with the increase of rotational speed.
