In this paper,payload swing and the vibration of the boom are modeled based on the Euler Bernoulli beam theory,for tower cranes.Vibration performances of the beam and oscillation characteristics of the payload are studied.The effect of payload matter and trolley motion on the vibration characteristics of the boom are analyzed for the tower crane.The main work can be summarized as follows.(1)Isoclinic ternal lattice structure of the boom is equivalent as the entity structure based on the Euler critical force equation.The equivalent moment of inertia is obtained to model beam vibration function.(2)The vibration differential function of the structure containing the boom and the trolley is set up based on the Euler Bernoulli beam theory.The deflection of the boom can be solved by the Runge-kutta method by Matlab software.The regulation of the acceleration and the mass of the trolley on the characteristic of beam vibration are analyzed by simulation.(3)The vibration differential function of the structure containing the boom,the trolley,and the payload is set up based on the Euler Bernoulli beam theory.The deflection of the boom can be solved by the Runge-kutta method by Matlab software.The effects of the acceleration of the trolley and the length of the rope on payload oscillation are analyzed.And then the effects of the mass of the load and the acceleration on the vibration of the boom are further more analyzed.
