Southern China locates in the area of tropical and subtropical monsoon climate with characterizations of long rainy season and large rainfall.Rainfall is a main cause of the natural landslide disaster.The infiltration of rainwater will increase the soil mass of the slope,soften the rock and soil,weaken the shear strength,and increase the risk of slope instability.Slope drainage measures are the guarantee of slope stability,In view of the fact that there are a lot of slope drainage measures and they all have various defects and deficiencies,the study of more practical and efficient slope drainage measures has become both urgent and important.In order to study this problem,the following aspects are included in this thesis:First,a highway slope project in Zhejiang,Quzhou was taken as the research object to inspect and collect soil samples.The soil-water characteristic curve of soil samples was obtained through indoor tension meter test;the soil permeability coefficient curve was calculated through Childs & Collis-Geroge model.Then,the model of slope was established by using the Geo-Studio software based on the parameters of soil samples.The siphon drainage system was set up in the slope model to analyze the effect of slope stability.Meanwhile,the influence of the location of the siphon and the number of the siphon points on the stability of the slope was studied.It was found that there existed a best location in the slope and the siphon slope drainage system had an obvious effect on the improvement of the slope stability,and the drainage effect was not linear with the depth of the siphon point whether the siphon point was set horizontal or vertical.Finally,the design scheme and construction process of the siphon drainage system were introduced in combination with the actual slope engineering.The practicality and efficiency of the siphon slope drainage system were proved by the practical engineering effect,and practical suggestions were put forward in the application of engineering.
