Bolt flange connection structure is widely used in the oil and gas pipelines and pressure vessels because of its good sealing performance,convenient disassembly,high strength and so on.However,due to the complexity of the working conditions,the sealing system of the flange joint may contribute to seal failure thus lead to leakage.This not only wastes of resource,but also produces serious pollution to the surrounding environment,and even threaten to the personal and property safety.It can be seen that bolt flange system plays an important role in the safe operation of pipeline and pressure vessel.There is a close relationship between the flange strength and the flange leakage,Therefore,the analysis of the strength is of great importance to the analysis of flange leakage.This paper used the flange-bolt-gasket as a whole study project,built a three-dimensional finite element analysis model by using CAD and pro/E sofeware.Then it used the ANSYS Workbench software to analyze the strain and stress distribution of the bolted flange joint and the components.and we can obtain the variation law of the stress and strain of bolted flange connection system under the pre tightening condition and the pressure condition.Results showed that: under the: preload and pressure condition,the whole of bolted flange fittings and components parts stress distribution changes are basically the same,and with the increasing pressure of each part of the said tube,the stress intensity increases,and the deformation of the flange and bolts also becomes large with the pressure increasing.This paper finally combined the finite element method and optimization design,and used the Design Exploration module of ANSYS Workbench software to optimize the parameters of bolt and flange.Through the analysis and calculation we can get the flange geometry size of each component after optimization of the system.It is very important to the decrease the maximum equivalent stress of bolted flange joints lower flange deformation and improve the service life of the bolt flange design.It can also provide a reasonable guide and check function for the design of bolt flange connection system.
