With the rapid development of global industry and technology,more and more projects are carried out in the underground space,and excavation is the most common construction activities.The stress field raises with the increase of depth,and becomes complex and unpredictable when stress field and seepage field of groundwater effects each other.The typical example is the waste nuclear disposal repository and laboratory.The special characteristics of the rock and deep depth of the repository’s buried position lead to increasing of crustal stress and the pressure of groundwater.In the construction process,underground seepage field and stress field must be disturbed,which also will effect deeply on the surrounding rock and the construction.But on the other hand,high security and stability is required because of the unstable highradioactivity contains in the waste nuclear disposal repository,so that to evaluate the feasibility of the project.Combined with the actual engineering and based on the basis of summarizing the existing theories and methods of analysis,this paper simulated the construction of the sealing plug of deep tunnel with finite element model by using finite element software ABAQUS.Firstly axisymmetric models with simplified shape and load of the two design schemes which are proposed by designers are used to analysis maximum principal stress and deformation of two kinds of of the sealing plug,then combing with the quantity and construction difficulty level,right scheme is chosen with considering of the applicability;Secondly with 3D finite element model and the appropriate element type and analysis step type which based on the reality of the construction,the stress /displacement of sealing plug Force and displacement of rock are analyzed to judge the stability of plug and rock and compare with the former work to evaluate the rationality of the two dimensional simplification.Finally a 3D water-force coupling model with appropriate element type and analysis step type which considered the groundwater infiltration is established by ABAQUS and the analysis result is compared with former analysis to conclude the difference and evaluate the necessity of the co-simulation.Results presented can be used for reference in similar engineering to offer guidance of the simplified calculation.
