A self-centering butterfly steel plate shear wall structure has been developed to resist lateral force in recent years.The structure consists of thin steel infill web panels as the lateral load resistance and post-tensioned beam-to-column connections,using conventional steel and prestressed steel strand.The structure has superior seismic performance and can control the residual deformation effectively,which ultimately reduces the costs of repair following an earthquake.More and more scholars at home and abroad pay attention to this new structure.In order to investigate the seismic perforance of the structure further,based on rereach work on performance objectives,the setting of performance objectives,the force transmission road,failure mechanism,calculation of stiffness theoretically and theoretical design method are presetented.The influence of parameters on the structure is studied via the finite element method which was verified by experiments.The parameters include the height to thickness,heigth to wide,coloum rigidity,Initial pretension,span to height ratio and arrangement of steel plate.The results of energy dissipation,energy dissipation factor,stiffness degradation,ductility coefficient and self-centering capacity are obtained.The mian resreach conclusions are as follow:(1)A self-centering butterfly steel plate shear wall structure is representative and prospective in the field of seismic structure and the new structure.The structure of reasonable design has superior seismic performance and the residual deformation can be controlled.(2)It is feasible and effective to use the finite element software to simulate self-centering butterfly steel plate shear wall structure.The energy dissipation and failure mechanism of the butterfly shaped steel plate shear wall self reset structure is theoretically analyzed,which is of guiding significance to the optimization of the butterfly shaped steel plate shear wall.(3)Self-centering butterfly steel plate shear wall structure that is designed reasonable has good seismic performance.The design of height to thickness ratio should be controlled at about 300 and the ratio of height to width is controlled at about 1.25.Moreover,the structure should guarantee the frame column remains elastic under large earthquake.Frame column is too large is not conducive to play the whole structure.Initial pre-tension steel wire should not be too large,and that from opened under small earthquakes.Reducing the span to height ratio of the frame will slightly improve the strength of the structure,whilestructural stiffness,ductility and self reset performance is similar.When the butterfly steel plate is arranged in a staggered way,the hysteretic performance of the structure is stable,which is favorable to meet the requirements of the space layout of the building.There are advantages and disadvantages of the same and opposite arrangement of steel plate.Details of seismic design should be paid more attention.
