Since the 80 s of last century,with the rapid development of China's economy,the transportation infrastructure construction has made great achievements.The single column pier curved girder bridgeis widely used in the construction of expressway ramp bridge and urban interchange viaduct because of its light and beautiful line,low cost and small floor space.In recent years,there have been many collapse accidents of the single column pier curved girder bridge,which exposed the lack of related regulation,lack of design theory and experience of the designers,and did not have a deep understanding of the characteristics of the single column pier curved girder bridge.Based on the engineering example,this paper analyzes the factors that affect the stability against overturningof the single pier curved girder bridge.At first,this paper introduces the research status at home and abroad,the calculation theory of the curved girder bridge,the characteristics of the force and the common bearing form.Secondly,this paper analyzes the characteristics of the capsize of the single column pier curved girder bridge and the checking method of the stability against overturning in the domestic standard.Then,this paper use the finite element software MISDS CIVIL to analyze the factors that affect the stability against overturning of the single pier curved girder bridge(including curve radius,bearing form,bearing spacing,pre-eccentric bearing and the length ratio of the side span and across span),and summarized the influence of different factors.At last,by changing the bearing form,adjusting the bearing spacing,reasonable setting the pre-eccentric bearing and the length ratio of the side span and across span caneffectively adjustthe bearing force and the internal force of the structure,improve the stability against overturning of the single pier curved girder bridge toprovide reference for design and reinforcement of the the single pier curved girder bridge in the future.
