With the development of the automobile industry,in order to improve the vehicle NVH performance,to design a vehicleto satisfythe needs of consumers,vehicle interior sound quality researchhas gradually become the major new research direction of vehicle manufacturers.How to evaluate the vehicle interior sound quality has become a new research direction.In this paper,20 sound samples were acquired from the driver's right ear position as evaluation subject,which are produced by 2 vehicles from one brand by using LMS noise and vibration test acquisition system.Signals acquired from different car speed,road condition and vehicle interior environment.Thenby calculatingthe objective sound quality parameters(loudness,sharpness and articulation index)of the samples,and evaluating those samples subjectively using grading method.The results show that the loudness and sharpness of the noise are influenced by the vehicle speed and the road condition.The Articulation index is not affected by these factors.The multiple linear regression equation was obtained by using the subjective evaluation result,as the dependent variable,and the objective quality parameter,as the independent variable.The equation shows that the quality of the vehicle interior sound is mainly affected by the loudness and sharpness of the noise.The model is validated by the t-test,which shows that the equation can be used to evaluate the sound quality of the vehicle interior noise.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of unsteady noise in neutral accelerating condition,prominence ratio,which is used to evaluate the vehicle noise,is proposed to compensate the flaws of loudness and sharpness when it comes to evaluate outstanding components of the unsteady noise,also,the accuracy of evaluation the vehicle interior sound quality of each condition is improved.The results show that themulti-linear regression equation model based on the saliency and combined with idling noise can provide a comprehensive evaluationmethod for the evaluation of vehicle interior sound quality.
