| Buried corrugated steel bridges and culverts have advantages of strong ability to adapt to deformation, economical efficiency, fast construction, environment protecting and so on.Because of these excellent properties, the application of corrugated steel bridges and culverts growing rapidly. However, the study on theory and experiment of this structure is relatively lagging behind, especially for the study on seismic performance. Therefore,it’s necessary to study the seismic performance of buried corrugated steel bridges and culverts, which has the significant theoretical and practical value. The vibration characteristic of this structure were studied through the field test and the finite element numerical simulation in this paper. It is concluded that the vibration of soil plays a dominant role in the vibration of the whole soil-steel structure, the performance of the vibration of corrugated steel plate itself is not obvious. This is consistent with the basic vibration characteristic of the common underground structure.Secondly,on the basis of summarizing the conclusion of the study on seismic analysis methods of this structure in relevant national specification, referring to the mechanism of response of common underground structure under seismic action, this paper presents a seismic analysis method based on the free-field shear deformation in combination with the characteristic of this structure. And then deduced the steps of this method in detail. The rationality of the proposed method is verified by comparing the result from this method and other national specification with the closed-form solutions, which is used in subsequent analysis. Finally, the finite element models under different conditions are established, the influence of four kinds of different factors on seismic performance of buried corrugated steel bridges and culverts are analyzed, such as the height of cover, the stiffness of soil, the stiffness of structure and the shape of cross-section.Then the rule of seismic performance of this structure with the change of different factors were summarized in this paper. These results of analyses can provide the reference for the seismic design of buried corrugated steel bridges and culverts. |
