With the continuous innovation of contemporary technology and the rapid growth of economy,people's living standard have been greatly improved.The demand of all walks of life for electricity is increasing and the requirement of power quality and safety is also improved.Voltage as one of the important indicators of power quality will have a direct impact on the power system security and stability operation.With the rapid growth of the power load,the voltage in many areas does not meet the national standard and electricity equipment even cannot work normally.The main factors influencing the voltage quality is that the provided reactive power is insufficient or reactive power distribution is not reasonable.Therefore,reactive power compensation equipment is equipped reasonably in power distribution network to supplement reactive power in time,improve the voltage quality and ensure the safety of power system operation.At the same time,it is very important to improve the economic benefit of power grid operation.Based on the analysis of the shortcomings of traditional reactive power compensation point selection methods,a method is presented in this article combining with the clustering algorithm and power to select the reactive power compensation.Firstly,correlation matrix is established according to the network topology and multidimensional scaling method is used to lower the dimensions of the high dimensions correlation matrix.In order to reduce amount of calculation and save calculation time,clustering process is to divide the entire network into several subareas according to the electric distance,then in each subarea power torque formula is adopted to calculate the load center and determine the location of the compensation point.By this way,it can better realize the reactive power dispersion compensation.After determine compensation point position,based on the analysis of the advantages and the disadvantages of the traditional mathematical optimization method and modern artificial intelligence optimization algorithm,the particle swarm optimization algorithm is chosen and some strategies are put forward for improvement,including inertia weight and learning factor parameter in particle swarm optimization algorithm.And the crossover operation of genetic algorithm is added in the late iterative calculation process to increase the particles population diversity.It can improve the algorithm performance.In view of the backward rural long lines,the reactive power compensation can not solve the problem of low voltage on the end of the line.In this paper,automatic voltage regulator and reactive power compensation are installed to improve voltage quality,reduce the line loss and increase investment income.Finally,use IEEE-33 and actual rural power distribution network for programming and simulation.And the correctness and validity of this method is verified by comparing with the results of other methods.
